As a specialist for plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery (FMH) I have been working in plastic surgery for more than 25 years. My focus is on aesthetic facial surgery and aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery after breast cancer as well as tightening operations on the abdomen. By concentrating on a few special procedures, I have acquired a high level of expertise in these areas.

In aesthetic breast surgery, my spectrum ranges from breast reduction, breast lift (mastopexy) and breast augmentation, to corrective surgery after previous procedures. In breast reconstruction I work with autologous tissue and implants. I also carry out prophylactic operations and reconstructions in case of genetic mutations (e.g. BRCA). A special form is the reconstruction after capsular fibrosis/contracture of breast implants. I have developed a very gentle form of microsurgical breast reconstruction using autologous tissue from the lower abdomen or thigh. In addition, I specialize in rejuvenating facial procedures: natural facelifts, neck lifts and eyelid lifts, as well as treatments with fillers and Botox.

As the main author of German and English language textbooks on the entire field of breast surgery, I am one of the international experts in plastic surgery. Since 2013 I have been on the current "FOCUS list" of Germany's top doctors. In 2016 and 2018 SAT1-TV documented in several reports how I was able to help patients with corrective surgery after they had become unhappy due to previous operations.

For more than 10 years I was the the director of a large plastic surgery department in Bielefeld, Germany. Afterwards I worked for 6 years in Munich in private practice with the main focus on aesthetic surgery and reconstructive breast surgery in the Breast Centre am Englischen Garten. Since my family lives in Zurich, I have now followed the call of the Spital Zollikerberg and am now working here as the head of plastic surgery and head of the Breast Centre at the Spital Zollikerberg.
