Dr. Linder and Prof. Fansa present at the Annual Meeting for Plastic Surgery

In this old but forgotten technique, quilting sutures are used to reduce the wound area inside the body. When a tummy tuck is performed, for example, there is a large wound inside the body. In order to reduce this wound area, these stitches are used. This allows the wound to heal better and at the same time drains (tubes that drain the wound fluid) are no longer required. This significantly reduces the likelihood of suffering a complication.
Dr. Linder's presentation was well discussed and many colleagues will include this technique in their repertoire.
