Non-invasive Treatment - gentle freshness with Botox, fillers and PRP

Some non-invasive treatments in the face can improve the appearance and complement a surgical result. These include fillers, Botox and PRP. During the aging process skin wrinkles appear and the face loses volume. Sun, smoking and strong facial expressions intensify these processes. Facial expression lines are caused by muscle movements. They can be treated very well with botulinum toxin ("Botox"). For other wrinkles, dents or sagging in the subcutaneous fatty tissue, injections with hyaluronic acid or autologous fat are a possible treatment method. It is important to use these complementary therapies only in moderation in order to avoid an unnatural appearance. We will discuss which method is the best for your concern in a consultation.

Botulinum toxin, the correct name for Botox, can be used very well to treat expression lines. We usually recommend it for the forehead and frown. It is injected superficially into the small mimic muscles and leads to a relaxation of exactly these muscles in the following weeks. This reduces the wrinkles. Other facial muscles are not affected. The effect usually lasts 4 to 6 months.

Filler substances such as hyaluronic acid can restore volume to the face and reduce smaller wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the connective tissue. It is particularly suitable for filling lips, nasolabial folds and volume therapy such as on the cheeks. The effect usually lasts 6 to 12 months. The duration depends, among other things, on the preparation used and the region of the face. Autologous fat can also be used to refill the volume of the face.

PRP Platelet-Rich Plasma. With this method, blood is taken from you on an outpatient basis. The blood is then separated using a special procedure. The result is a concentrate of thrombocytes (platelets) from your own blood, which together with the plasma are rich in growth factors and cell messengers. These substances stimulate the regeneration of the body in a potentized form. The plasma can be used for wounds, to improve orthopedic complaints, but also in aesthetic medicine to improve the appearance of the skin and to some extent to prevent sagging.

This concentrated plasma is then injected via a very fine syringe into the skin of the region in which it is to be effective. In this way, a positive effect can be achieved on the face, for example. As it is derived from the patient's own blood, it is also known as a "vampire lift". It can also be used in the scalp to stimulate hair growth and slow down or prevent male pattern hair loss. PRP can also be used in addition to or after a surgical procedure to improve the result.

Treatment

Fillers, Botox and PRP are done on an outpatient basis. The duration of treatment is about 30 to 45 minutes. Botox and short filler treatments do not require anesthesia. If desired, the skin can be numbed with ointment. Small bruises may occasionally appear at the injection sites. In the case of fillers, the swelling can last up to 3 days due to multiple injections or the extensive distribution in the tissue. An autologous fat treatment is somewhat more complex, as the fat must first be harvested from one part of the body

PRP therapy takes about an hour, depending on the area of the body. You must be prepared for us to take your blood and then inject the plasma back into the skin using a very fine syringe (the thinnest currently available).
